Ask anyone what one of their goals is in any particular year and most likely you'll hear "to get in better shape" or "to lose weight." The Fitocracy app by Fitocracy, Inc. is one that is designed to empower and motivate you to meet your fitness goals and even strive for more while making it fun.

We all know that while making a goal is easy, sticking to it isn't quite as simple. The key is to make something fun that will make you want to stick with it, which is what Fitocracy does. You'll be able to track all your workouts, unlock achievements as you go, earn huge points, beat challenges, and even slay that dragon that goes by the name of laziness. You’ll be so busy having fun you’ll forget you’re getting in shape at the same time.

Fitocracy employs the idea of a leveling system into your workout that instantly makes it addictive and challenging. Every time you complete a workout you'll get points that are based on the workout you do and its difficulty level. Of course the harder and more challenging the workout, the more points you'll be awarded. Once you have enough points, you'll move up a level.

The app takes things a little further by offering you motivation too, with conversations and groups you can join, as well as daily inspirations. You'll have the support of the entire Fitocrats community behind you on your quest to become the best, healthiest person you can.

I joined Fitocracy over a year ago and have been using this app for quite a while. I love how easy it is to enter in a training session and get motivation to keep going to meet my goals.
