App Secret by Felix Yew is an app that will help you protect the data on your iOS device. Right now, it’s free in the App Store, but the price will be going up, so get it ASAP.

The app will prevent people from accessing any info you don’t want them to see. Have you ever handed someone your iPhone to show a photo, but then he or she started swiping through the rest of your photos? Prevent this from happening again with App Secret. You can passcode protect your secret or sensitive data, videos, or photos so that no one else can see.

App Secret offers a passcode lock style, combination lock style, and even a dot pattern lock style for higher security.

Create albums for your photos and passcode the album. Import photos and videos or take them from within the app to keep them secure. The app supports move, copy, and paste as well. You can passcode lock individual folders. You can also search, create, sort, and move, copy and paste your notes.

App Secret also offers a Reminders section, Voice Memos section, and Contacts section that you can passcode lock.

Features of the app include a fake password for decoy mode, an easy-to-use interface, a break-in-report with image capture, and full Retina display support.

App Secret was released in early January 2013 and is available in English only. It doesn’t have enough customer ratings yet for iTunes to display an average, but the one feedback comment gives it five stars.

I think this app is incredible. It does what it says and offers an extra level of security. I like the dot pattern lock style.
