Working out can be intimidating for many people who may not know what the best exercises are to do and how to build a training session. The Workout app, brought to you by Piet Jonas, is meant to help you in the area of interval training.

Many people believe that interval training is actually the very best way to train, not only burning calories but also to optimize your physical fitness level. It's a building block for many workouts and sessions and trainers swear by interval training building routines for their clients.

If you’re looking for the definition of interval training – it’s repetitions of high-speed, high intensity activity/work outs that are then followed by low-intensity exercise or rest. This is repeated throughout the session.

The Workout app helps you control and manage your intervals so you don't have to worry about it. Before you begin your workout you will be able to input the duration of your work out and relaxation periods as well as the number of repetitions. The app will alert you so you know it's time for the next period. There is no need to keep your eye on a clock or watch with this app; you can listen to your music, watch TV. or let your mind wander knowing the app will alert you when time is up.

Keep in mind that although its meant as a workout tool, you can also use this to track repetitions of any sort.
