Gym Hero app review

Gym Hero

Price: Free

For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 4.3 or later

Gym Hero by Mike Alright is a simple, easy-to-use app that lets you track your workouts on your iOS device.

Forget about carrying around a notebook when you’ve got Gym Hero. All you have to do is select the workout, select the set you’re on, choose the weight, and then set the reps. It literally takes seconds to do, which lets you spend more time on your workout.

The app will also allow you to view your “last” workout of the same type, so you know how many sets and reps you did, and with how much weight.

There are no in-app purchases of add-ons you’ll need to make, but you can let the developer know how much you appreciate the app by sending some money. You can pay anything from $0.99 right up to $9.99 depending on how much you want to pay or how much you can afford. This is a great idea.
When you’re done your workout, you can post to Runkeeper, Twitter, and Facebook.

Gym Hero was updated to Version 1.6.2 on November 26, 2012. The update added iPhone 5 support, better FAQ, and other small improvements. This version has a total of 92 customer ratings with an average of five out of five stars.

I’ve been using this app for a week and love it. It’s simple, fast, and easy to use. It’s not for people who need help learning how to use equipment or want a coach to help them set up a program; this app is for people who know what they’re doing in the gym and want an efficient and easy way to track their workouts.
