The augmented reality compass gives you up to 8x zoom and works with your camera. If you’d rather not use it, you have to hold your device flat. You can use transit, collision, and back-bearing markers as well as draggable colored bearing lines.

I really wish that I’d had this app last week when I was travelling. I kept having to shake my phone to reset the compass, after I figured out why I had a blank circle staring up at me while I wondered where exactly I was headed.
