Veer Launcher app review: one gesture communication with your contacts

Reviews

Introduction

Veer Launcher by Code Atlas SRL is a basic little app designed to make it easier to communicate with your contacts by fully integrating with your notification center. In our mobile world we have many communication options at our finger tips, but, surprisingly, they don’t always make the process of keeping in contact with our top contacts a simple process. With Veer Launcher you can replace complex communication methods with one simple to use app. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Quick and Easy Communication with your Main Contacts

The App Store features a lot of different apps that can help make communication with your contacts easier. We all want one touch solutions to our communication needs, and that’s exactly what Veer Launcher provides. If you’re a fan of simplicity this app is definitely one you’ll want to give a try. It doesn’t hurt that it’s free either.

The actual app itself is pretty basic. It’s essentially a control center where you can access your contacts and decide who you feel should be included in your favorites. The interface is clean and straightforward. There are no ads or in-app purchases to get in the way which is refreshing. There isn’t really a user’s guide, although the first time you fire the app up it does provide you with simple step by step instructions to add it to your notification center. This app will require 8.8 MB of available space on your iOS device.

How it Works

The first time you run the Veer Launcher app you will be walked through the steps to activate it in your notification center – it’s a pretty simple process. All you have to do is swipe down from the top of your device to open the notification center, tap on today, then edit, and activate the widget. After that you’ll see the Veer Launcher widget in your notification center. Any contact that you’ve had interactions with recently will then appear in the widget with some quick contact options available by tapping on their icon.

There are several different contact options available to you when you tap on a contact. These include FaceTime, iMessage, and email. When you tap on an option it will open up in its main application and you can use it as you normally do. If you want to control who appears in your favorite contacts list you can modify this within the app itself. All you have to do is tap on add new contact button, and choose the contact you want to add from your full list. If you want to remove a contact from your quick access list, you just tap on the delete icon that appears next to their name. It’s a simple process with no real learning curve.
