The best iPhone apps for learning guitar 2021n my quest to become a better guitar player my iPad has been an invaluable tool, partly because of its portability, but also because of the availability of quick access to tons of YouTube video lessons and App Store guitar lessons.
I tried dozens of guitar teaching apps, but have always generally fallen back on YouTube as my go to teaching method – that all changed when I started using Final Guitar Pro. This app has everything you need to learn how to play guitar.
You’ll have access to every guitar chord you need to become a guitar Pro, as well as many other tools to help you along your journey.
What makes Final Guitar Pro so special is the unique range of tools that it provides. They’ve included pretty much everything that a guitar player needs, and they’ve done it in a beautiful 3-D environment.
I loved the fact that you have complete control over the chords you want to hear and in what order, but the best part is that they play the arrangement back to you using a 3-D rendered virtual guitar player. It’s pretty cool.
There are great instruction manuals and video tutorials to help you learn how to use this app. This app will require 45 MB of available space on your iOS device.
When you first run the Final Guitar Pro app you’ll be greeted by a comprehensive tutorial which works you through every step you’ll need to begin using the app as a tool to help you improve your guitar play.
The best music theory apps for iPadBasically what you do is choose from a menu of available chords and slide them on to your musical arrangement in the order you’d like them to play. You can also change the timing of the 3-D virtual guitar player’s play, and you can even insert repeats of certain sections by including section blocks.
Once your song begins to play if you want to get a closer look at how the virtual guitar player’s fingers form the chords you can simply pinch to zoom in and out and get a better look.
Another great feature of this app is that you can add in drums and bass as well to give the track a realistic sound. The app even has a built-in metronome to help you control the speed of the play. Essentially if there’s anything you can do with a guitar you can probably learn how to do it with this app.
