Biddl – A Unique Concept

Biddl is truly a unique concept that the developer, Biddl Inc., has introduced to the public. "Biddl is the first mobile shopping game that allows you to have fun while shopping anywhere," says the developer. "There is no shopping app like Biddl. Biddl differentiates itself by strictly following our core values of transparency, reliability and honesty."

The developers want to be sure that you get off to the right start so the first time you launch the app you can take part in the tutorial, which is actually a free game. As soon as you register you are also awarded five free Bidds as “thanks”.

The idea here is that you want to win the bargains you see, as they are some of the best deals out there and the prices are set through real-life bidding. You want to make sure you can keep that price low and win at the same time.

"You can bid on auctions, buy items directly, and combine the two."  As for what you can expect to find here - there are TVs, tablets, and smartphones. Additionally you can find high-end fashion items and gift cards.

With Biddl you win some, and you lose some, which can be a hard pill to swallow at first. Again, it’s completely different than your typical retail experience. As the developers state, "your success will depend on your own skill," and that may take practice.

The app was launched back in 2015 and made quite the splash as the first mobile-only shopping game. Instead of offering the same shopping experience as all the other online retailers, Biddl set out to be unique in its concept, design, and technology.

Playing the Shopping Game

First things first, you'll need to register to start making bids in the app. This can be done on Biddl's Facebook page. You can also check out your competition so you know what you're up against when you are ready to bid.

You'll find the auctions themselves move along at a very fast-paced so you need to be on your toes if you hope to win. There are some BuyNow items if you prefer.

Now because this is also a game there are Bidd coins you can ear, badges, and also level-ups - not your typical shopping features. It makes shopping a competitive and social experience. You can even brag to your friends by sharing your achievements to your social media.

Now before you go and jump into an auction, be sure to purchase Bidds. These can be bought in a pack, and each Bidd is worth $0.50.

You can then use your Bidds in your account when you are in an auction. Of course the highest bidder will be able to purchase the item. Payment is secure and convenient, and is done through PayPal and Stripe.

Just like in a game, you'll be able to build your skill level within Biddl. It's really a trial and error process though because the more often you take place in auctions, the more you'll learn about what techniques work and how to use them.

A couple tips from the developer are to try bidding at different times of the day/night so you can start to see what are the "best" times, learn about your competition by checking them out, earn some free Bidds by inviting your friends to join the app, and remember that practice makes perfect so try to practice on items that aren't "must-haves" and are inexpensive.

There is definitely a learning curve in this game, but it won’t take long before you get the hang of it and you start to figure out how to win those items you just gotta have.
