Where Dreams Begin

The idea for BUCKiTDREAM came about as a result of some soul-searching that CEO Tim Carroll was doing way back in 2010. He was contemplating the growing popularity of the Internet and the world that it opens up to us. It then occurred to him that there were things in life that he still hadn’t done and that there were a lot of other people in the same boat. BUCKiTDREAM is his way of helping people achieve those dreams.

Tim Carroll has a ton of experience in the entertainment industry which makes him uniquely qualified for helping dreams come true. He previously worked for a company called Village Roadshow which is an entertainment and production company that’s worked on such famous movies as Mad Max and Happy Feet. Movies are expressions of people’s imagination, and imagination comes from our dreams so it wasn’t much of a leap for Mr. Carroll to get involved with a venture like BUCKiTDREAM.

While this is still a relatively new app, it has a great chance of success as it has some powerful individuals backing it. The app has been featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and Sir Richard Branson of the highly successful technology company Virgin was instrumental in the apps launch and continues to have a stake in the app. As a way of promoting the new app he partnered with Mr. Carroll to offer a dream getaway to his island getaway in the British Virgin Islands.

BUCKiTDREAM is a unique app that doesn’t have a lot of competition – at least, not yet. There are other apps that will allow you to create a bucket list of items that you’ve always dreamed of doing, but this app offers a whole lot more than just that. The key difference is that it not only lets you create lists, but it also offers you help in bringing those dreams to reality. And, it only takes a few seconds to create your first list.

What makes BUCKiTDREAM such a great app is that it’s set up in a standard sort of social media format that will have a strong sense of familiarity for most people. It’s very user friendly and transitions smoothly from one screen to the next, but one thing I would like to see is some sort of FAQ page or help section. It’s completely free of ads and you don’t have to worry about those pesky pop-ups asking you to rate the app though. In general, it’s a very useful app that might just encourage you to follow your dreams and start to tick some items off that bucket list. How to Begin Your Bucket List

The first time you access the app you’ll have to sign up for an account using either your existing Facebook account or by signing up with your email. It’s a simple process and won’t take you more than a minute or two to get things set up.

The app will then ask you to choose from a few select categories of what interests you the most and then will present you with a list of potential bucket list items which you can use to create your own. Once you’ve got your bucket list started you can then use the app as a place to store and share information as you work toward the goal of ticking items off that bucket list.

To navigate your way around the app you’ll find a menu at the bottom with all of your available options. You can use the home screen icon at any time to browse you’re news feed and see what others are doing about their dreams. If you’re looking for items to add to your bucket list you can tap on the discover icon and scroll through some ideas until you find one that suits what you’re looking for.

If comments have been left in items on your list you’ll see them in the notification section and you can respond if you like. When you’re ready to start tackling your own bucket list items you simply tap on your own profile and then tap on any one of the items in your bucket list and you can then add comments, create a to-do list of items you’ll need on your trip, and you can develop a budget for your trip as well. It’s a great way to keep organized and motivated towards your goals.

See What Others are Dreaming

In addition to creating your own bucket lists, you can also see the dreams from other people through their bucket lists. This is a great way to see what other people are doing and to get some great ideas for your own list. It's easier to dream about a foreign, tropical place after you have seen a few photos and details about it.

Additionally, looking through the to-do lists of others could really help you add more ideas to your bucket list and it could also help you think of new things to do for your current or old dreams. Just imagine, finding something new for a place that you crossed off your bucket list already. It's almost like seeing it for the first time again. This app really provides a lot of inspiration and ideas that will greatly help in bringing your dreams to a reality.

Dreams Can Come True

BUCKiTDREAM is a novel idea and it works. We all have dreams, but most of us don’t do a lot to make those dreams come true and this app can change all that. I loved the fact that it’s set up as a social media experience so that you can share your dreams with friends and family and it also helps that it’s integrated with your Facebook account. This is a very worthwhile app and something everybody should take a look at.
