National Geographic Magazine by National Geographic Society is an app that lets you follow the popular magazine on your mobile device. This app is free for those with existing digital and print subscriptions.

The app offers plenty of exclusive content for its digital edition with its in-depth stories and stunning photographs for which the magazine is renowned . The pricing ranges from $4.99 for a single issue up to $19.99 for an annual subscription. You can also access back issues on your iPad that date back to February 2011 and back issues on your iPhone that date back to November 2012.

All kinds of topics and issues are covered in the magazine including archaeology, geography, natural science, historical conservation, and environmental conservation. You don’t even have to have an appreciation of any of the above topics to enjoy National Geographic though as the photographs tell a story in themselves, as month after month the magazine manages to capture stunning images of scenery, people, animals, and different societies.

As a child I remember looking forward to receiving the monthly edition of National Geographic magazine at our doorstep and that is something that carries into adulthood. This app allows you to enjoy all the magazine has to offer anytime and anyplace and best of all today’s generation of young people can continue to discover all it has to offer.
