Fish Heroes by Craneballs Studios LLC is an app where the Fish Heroes have determined to save the smaller fish from the evil Shark Mafia. It’s free as of today, marked down from $0.99, so get it while you can!

Your job is to control the Fish Heroes (Mr. Whale, Mr. Puffer, and a quirky Octopus) and make them dive against the big bad sharks. The game combines gameplay styles of Boom Blox and Angry Birds, with tons of levels. It has a 3D twist that you’ll use to find the weakest spot.

Your goal is to complete each level with three stars so that you can unlock the map with Baby Fish.

With more than 130 levels, you’ll have tons of fun playing this fishy game. It’s totally addictive, especially when you know you have to earn all three stars so you can protect the Baby Fish!

The music is great, the characters are fabulous, and the graphics are amazing.  The app offers iCloud sync and is Game Center integrated so you can boast your high scores on global leaderboards. There are 27 achievements, too.

Fish Heroes was updated to Version 1.3 on December 8, 2012. The update added Game Center achievements, made some bug fixes, improved the News system, and made some other improvements. This version has a total of 39 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars.

I really enjoyed this game. It definitely offered some addictive gameplay and even the music got into my head; I was humming for hours after playing it! If you like Angry Birds and/or Boom Blox, you should try Fish Heroes.
