This app features over 40 languages and dialects with 36 languages that use the voice recognition. It’s like having an interpreter in your pocket.

This app works by having you speak into the device and it then translates and repeats what you said in the language of your choice. The voice recognition is very accurate and the translations are exact. There is also the option to use the on-screen keyboard to type in your phrases, giving you exceptional flexibility.

Languages included in this app are English, Japanese, Arabic, Romanian, Korean, and more. The voice customization feature allows you change from male to female voice output and even slow down recorded phrases so you can understand exactly what was said.

Favorite phrases can be saved for quick reference and you can now edit and share them over e-mail, SMS, Facebook, or Twitter.

SayHi Translate was updated to version 3.0.2 on January 24, 2013 and included minor bug fixes and performance increases. The current version has 201 ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars.

I found this app to be very useful as a learning tool by practicing translated phrases. Being able to save common phrases to my favorites makes having conversations in another language smooth and casual.
