Scan by QR Code City gives you a way to scan barcodes quickly and easily from your iPad.

Scan touts itself as the "fastest and most user-friendly" QR reader app on the market. While that may be a fairly large claim there is no denying that this app certainly performs well.

You don't have to worry about restrictions on this version or locked features because with this app everything is free, you have full access to all the features.

All you need to do is launch the app then point the camera at the barcode to scan it. Unlike with other apps, there is no need to press a scan button or take a picture. It's just fast and simple, keeping the whole user-friendly approach in mind.

As an added feature if the code you scan happens to contain a URL site, you'll be taken the site automatically.

Some codes will just show text while others might show an email address or phone number.

You'll be able to read ISBN, EAN, and UPC barcodes with this app. As well there is a history log, a forward facing light that lets you scan easily, and the ability to scan codes or images by using an image upload from the camera roll.

I really liked that what you see is what you get here, everything truly is free and it’s a very easy to use app that lets you scan barcodes without issues.
