In this app you'll be given 14 plates gathered from the 5th edition of Atlas of Human Anatomy, which was illustrated by Frank H. Netter, MD, a master medical illustrator.

Now where the really cool element comes into this app is that the plates are accompanied by features you can personalize and quizzes to test your knowledge.

Features include being able to personalize your Atlas by adding labels (highlight/off/on), make notes as you study, add bookmarks, and create your own study plan.

When it comes to the interactive features there are label quizzes that are meant to test your memory where terminology is concerned. The Muscle Info buttons are great for providing additional information such as blood supply, actions, inervations, and review attachments.

Netter's Anatomy Atlas Free was updated on Nov. 1, 2011 and currently has 169 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.

While it’s hard for me to comment on the quality of the information, since I don’t work in the medical field, I did find the app itself easy to use and the images to be of great quality. I do think this is a great way to test the app and see how you like it before deciding to purchase the full version.
