The Walking Dead: Assault by The Walking Dead: Assault is a strategy game based on the award winning series and TV show. The game is marked down for a limited time to $0.99 from $2.99, so get it fast.

The app is optimized for iPhone 5.

The game has you play through several arcs of the series. The squad-based strategy game is filled with the horrors of the post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies.

In Episode 1, “Days Gone By,” you’ll wake up in the hospital as Rick and follow the events that lead to the attack on the camp. You can play as Rick, Michonne, Shane, Carl, Lori, Andrea, or your other favorite character. You can build a team of four of your best characters and work through the game as you survive the zombie attacks.

You’ll get access to the Game Center and the opportunity to complete challenges and bonuses that will unlock wallpapers and artwork for your iOS device. You’ll also get behind-the-scenes trivia.

The controls are intuitive, you can unlock and upgrade your weapons and attributes, and use flares and car alarms as distractions. You can also challenge friends to high scores on Game Center.
Upcoming episodes are “Safety Behind Bars” and “Fear The Hunters.”

The Walking Dead: Assault was updated to Version 1.1.2 on January 11, 2013. The app has a total of 6164 ratings with an average of five out of five stars. Feedback comments are positive.

I love the television show and really enjoyed this game. I really like the comic book-style of it.
