Ugly offers users a quick dose of all-important self esteem. It helps remind its users that they are not "that" ugly, by mashing up new and existing photos to show how unfortunate the user could potentially look.
The application offers 30 different Ugly Character templates which can be applied to any photo with the touch of a button, as well as many hairstyles and accessories which can be implemented as digital overlays to the underlying distorted image.

I found this application’s face-detecting auto-crop feature to be particularly handy. It made it easy to acquire content from my old albums without having to crop my existing photos.
