Grandpa’s Workshop by Fairlady Media is a series of mini-games that are educational and entertaining.

Young children love action-packed learning games and what better to teach them then how to use tools and be handy around the house. Grandpa and his tools get right to work teaching kids how to get things done with his various activities such as Spot the Difference, Board Fractions, Measuring, and more. This app has been marked down for a limit time to $0.99 from $1.99.

Grandpa’s Workshop will teach children how to recognize numbers and colors as well as teach them words such as pliers, hammer, c-clamp, nut, bolt, and numerous others. Fractions and spacial relationships as well as observation skills are also covered.

Each game features simple instructions with easy to follow game play. The graphics are somewhat childish with cartoon faces on all the tools but that is the audience that this app is directed at so it’s all relevant.

Grandpa’s Workshop was updated to Version 1.1 on November 9, 2012 and fixes a few minor issues with gameplay on older iOS versions. This app has 39 ratings with an average score of 4.5 out of five stars.
