Grid-Diary by Sumi Interactive is a portable electronic diary for you to write in as you go.

Grid-Diary is a handy new app that lets you jot down your thoughts right on your mobile device. The app uses a unique new grid-style question format where each grid square asks you a question about your day and you fill in the answer in the provided space.  The questions can be selected from a list of pre-written items or you can customize your own.

Sometimes it can be hard to determine what you should write about. The concept behind the questions is that it helps you form a topic and fill in the body of your entry. Each question is intended to get you motivated and inspire you to write more and more.

Text can be searched by date via the calendar or you can search for specific lines of text to help you find entries quickly. You can also set up reminders and notifications to keep you on track with making journal entries. You can even share entries with whomever you choose through email or export them into PDF files.

Grid-Diary was released as Version 1.0 on February 11, 2013. There are currently 27 ratings with an average score of 2.5 out of five.

I found this app to be full of bugs. It is relatively new and there will be future releases I`m sure but currently it is not even useable as-is. There were numerous crashes and the entries are not saving properly. There is a note on the iTunes page regarding this that indicates they are working on it but no solution has been made available yet.
