Figure by Propellerhead Software AB is an app for making music whenever you feel the creative need to do so.

Creativity can strike at any moment and there is nothing worse than not having something to capture it with. Figure is used to capture that creativity by allowing you to quickly play out your musical ideas and save it in the app. Where ever you may be, you will never have to worry about forgetting a great beat again.

Figure has a complete set of tools for creating, mixing, and managing complete songs. Bass, drums, and lead tracks can be mixed, shuffled, and looped until you are happy with the final results. Once your music is ready for release you can export your audio to iTunes.

The interface makes creating and adjusting each track fun and easy and the coloring of the menus gives everything a very retro feel. The sound output is very good and once you export it to iTunes and play it on a quality stereo system you will really notice just how good it is.

Figure was updated to Version 1.4 on February 13, 2013 and included SoundCloud Sharing, Audiobus support, background audio, and some minor bug fixes.

This app has a really cool feel to it. The beats are easy to make and I really love the synthesizer effects. It was super easy for me to quickly lay down a beat I'd been humming and it soon because actual music.
