We suppose some people may use this app but we don't think it will be many. Basic premise is to tap the screen to determine heartbeat rate. We are sure there are some people who will use this app for serious reasons and that is fine but for the vast majority of us there isn't a reason to partake.

This app won't find a wide audience of fans. The purpose of this app is to allow users the ability to track the amount of time spent on projects. Users enter a project and then click to start the timer and click to stop the timer. We suppose some freelancers may use this app but beyond a small niche we don't see the relevance of this app to a wider audience. We don't criticize this app for potentially being useful to a small segment of users as that is fine and dandy. We suppose people can just as easily use the timer function in the iPhone's core Clock icon. Close

There are other apps which provide a littany of items that are on sale at retailers but this one only provides one item daily which, in our experience, were not steeply discounted. We are all for finding bargains and expected this app to show us a significantly discounted item but that was not the case. Close

If you like Forbes Magazine you will probably like this app offering feature stories and videos. We all know traditional newspaper and magazine outfits are coping with readers' growing reliance on electronic based mediums instead of paper. Forbes Magazine created this app to provide users with the opportunity to read and watch interviews with top business and investment leaders. We think this is all fine and dandy but, you know us, we like more breadth and novelty when awarding a high rating. While this app may speak to a niche part of the iPhone user universe it hasn't done anything to attract a wider audience. Close

We are not seismologists and this app seems to work as advertised but we can't think of any reason, practical or fun, to use it. The seisometer graphs look real in capturing the movement of the iPhone but we can't envision uses for this app. I think it is obvious that users experiencing an earthquake are unlikely to first think of turning their iPhone on, launching this app, and capturing the magnitude of an earthquake. Maybe there are other uses for this app but we are at a loss. Close

A decent app for a random dose of historical facts. We have evaluated other apps which provide daily information on significant events that happened in prior years. This one has a nice feature of giving users a list of key words to search Wikipedia without being kicked out of the app. Nonetheless this app doesn't do anything novel to garner a higher rating. For example, it would be nice if a list of books about a presented subject was provided. Close

We aren't impressed with this job search app. This app attempts to distinguish itself from the littany of job search apps by advertising high paying jobs. We can't say we are impressed with the result. We sarched the "$100k+ Jobs" and found 20 total opportunities in San Francisco. We don't think this is enough breadth to act as a serious job search contender. Furthermore, the high paying jobs are not categorized in any way which forces users to utilize the "Search" box which can be hit and miss. The non $100k+ job openings are more robust but we believe people getting this app for the promise of high paying jobs will be disappointed. Close

Isn't this app the antithesis of what mission statements are supposed to be about? We are not keen about this app partly on principle. We believe mission statements should come from the heart and soul of the corporation and not pieced together from cookie cutter phrases offered, for example, from this app. Now, there may be corporations out there who want to understand what successful firms may be using as their mission statements which is fine but this app doesn't offer this capability (something we suggest they consider adding). A nice app to include Emjoi characters in notes, e-mail, etc. If you like to include Emoji characters along with your text this app will get the job done. Launching the app brings up a text box where you can type using the iPhone's regular keyboard and selecting to sprinkle Emoji characters from the screen. Hit the "Copy" button and you can paste what you created in notes, e-mail, etc. This app would get a higher rating if the Emoji characters were integrated in the regular iPhone keyboard but that function is reserved for the paid version. But this isn't a criticism. We are okay with the business model of serving up good Lite and Free apps to tempt users to buy apps. This one is a great example of how the business model should be executed. Close
