Patient by Mayo Clinic gives you access to health information directly on your iPad from the Mayo Clinic as well as other useful tools.

The app is available to anyone and if you happen to be a patient of the Mayo Clinic you can view your appointment schedule, medical record, and other personal services. In order to view your patient information you will need to set up an account first.

While you don't have to be a patient to enjoy the features here, certainly if you are a patient there are a lot of great bonuses and time-saving tools.

For those who aren't a patient at the Mayo Clinic there is plenty of publications and news you can access through the app.

Other features include being able to: request an appointment right through the app, view an up-to-date appointment schedule, receive notifications, view your medical and lab results and records, and even view information videos from the Mayo Clinic.

In this latest version of the app there have been a number of additions include not being able to view radiology and pathology reports, and there are accessibility enhancements and improvements.

Patient was updated on Aug. 20, 2012 and currently has 49 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.

The Mayo Clinic is world renowned and even if you aren’t a patient there is plenty of valuable information to be read and viewed here. I found it great that you could actually plan your visit to the clinic from this app.
