Starring You Storybooks by JibJab Media Inc. puts you right in your own storybook on your iPad, making it fun for even the youngest of kids.
The app will put your child right into the book so they're actually starring in it. All it takes is a couple of swipes to put together your customized story. The book will include the child's name and face.
The book is meant to help your child wind-down at bedtime. It features a storyline that keeps their attention, incredible-looking animations, and vivid artwork.
While downloading the app is free you will need to purchase either an a la carte package or a subscription. A la carte is available for $7.99 per book, while the monthly plan is $3.99 and is auto-renewed. It gives you one book a month plus an a la carte price of $1.99 per book.
In this latest version improvements have been made and now you can even take a picture from Facebook to use in the book.
The books all feature different themes so you can pick ones that would appeal to your child. You'll find
books about pirates, monsters, princesses, ocean creatures, animals, and more.
Starring You Storybooks was updated on Dec. 27, 2012 and currently has 38 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.
I think this is a great way to get a child’s interest and literally immerse themselves in the book. I liked that there were so many different story themes so whether the book was for a little girl, or boy you were bound to find something they liked.
