Bon Appetit by Condé Nast Digital uses the gorgeous high resolution display of your iPad to showcase incredible looking recipes.

This legendary publication gives you the opportunity to browse through dozens of mouth-watering recipes each and every month. Not only that but the pages are packed with tricks, tips, and techniques to ensure your dishes turn out perfectly.

There are features on current restaurant trends, the latest foods, iPad exclusives of step-by-step cooking videos with 360 degree animation, bonus pictures, tips straight from the Bon Appetit test kitchen, and you'll have access to more than 6,000 recipes that are found in the archive.

A cool digital exclusive is Kitchen Mode which gives you a cooking tool. It will take each recipe and break it down step-by-step using large font so it's easy to follow and read while cooking.

Downloading the app is free and then you can purchase issues through the app. A single issue is available for $4.99, and there are also one-month and one-year subscriptions available that feature auto-renewal.

This latest version of the app has undergone some stability improvements meant to enhance the overall experience.

Bon Appetit was updated on Apr. 19, 2012 and currently has 277 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.

There was plenty to rave about in this app, from the stunning looking photography, to the step-by-step video instructions, to the wide variety of recipes included. For me the Kitchen Mode really stood out though. I really enjoyed being able to clearly and easily view the recipe without needing to flip through pages.
