fox4kc by Local TV LLC delivers all the local news and action to your mobile device.

This app from FOX 4 makes sure you're never without the Kansas City metro area sports, weather, and news you come to depend on. Information is updated on a regular basis and you'll be able to read, watch video reports and live streaming newscasts, and even receive breaking news alerts.

There are customization features as well such as being able to pick what kind of push notification you'd like to receive. As well you can opt for the "quiet time" setting when you don't want to be disturbed by notifications.

If you're interested in weather then the interactive radar is a great way to obtain all the latest details. You'll have access to the most updated weather forecasts, a storm tracker, and you'll know when severe weather is predicted.

Check out the contests or Morning Show, and you can even contact the station through the app. There is an interactive feature as well that lets you submit video or a photo straight from the app.

For those who deal with a daily commute, the constantly updated traffic information will also come in handy.

fox4kc was updated on Feb. 22, 2013 and currently has nine customer ratings with an average rating of one and a half out of five stars.

While I did find this app did a good job with the local news, it doesn't have as many features as some other news based apps.
