CardMunch by LinkedIn Corporation is meant for those people who collect and need to keep business cards organized.
What this app does is transform your business card into a contact featuring integration with LinkedIn. That means you can see your brand new contact's profile and information on LinkedIn and connect with that person all with one simple click.
Once you're able to view the contact on LinkedIn you can also check out their work history, any connections you may have in common with them, and more.
All you need to do is scan and capture the business card using the new and improved card capture feature. There is also a manual transcription feature to make sure the card is entered correctly. There is a section of recently transcribed cards so you can quickly find a card you just scanned.
When it comes to sorting your contacts you can do this through the General Settings menu.
In this latest version besides a number of bug fixes there is also now flash support for iPhone 4 and 4S. This will allow you to capture business cards even when lighting conditions are ideal and are low.
While I liked a lot of the features this app and loved how easy it was to scan cards, there are some functions that seem to be missing. I would love to have more sorting and organization options especially as my contacts grow and expand.
