With just a couple of taps on the screen you'll be enjoying incredible TV access and movies from your home or while out. This app allows you to watch shows on demand and movies from Starz, Cinemax, HBO, and Encore. Basically you can treat your iPad as a portable TV.

You're even able to browse through the programs without having to interrupt the one you're watching. When searching for programs you'll be given such details as a description, parental ratings, photos, and more.

When you tap on "Live TV" you'll find a large list of channels available with all kinds of programming. You can also browse through the titles available On Demand. You can search for a particular show up to 14 days before it airs, sort the programs you watch, and even view the top picks of the week.

DIRECTV CINEMA gives you access to movies that have been grouped by category.

There is a social aspect as well, as you can share your favorite shows on Twitter and Facebook.

I liked that this app was easily able to turn your iPad into a remote TV/entertainment device that you could take anywhere with you. As well I found it relatively easy to search and browse through the shows/movies available.
