Guitar Tuner - GuiTune Lite by Peter Deelstra is a simple audio and visual guitar tuner.

Keeping your guitar in perfect tune is critical to sounding your best. Some people are not able to tune by ear no matter how much they practice and because of this they need a great tuner. This is where GuiTune Lite becomes your best friend.

To use the app simply play each string on your guitar into the microphone on your device. The app will show you which string you plucked and whether it is sharp, flat, or right on key. Because of the simple nature of this app you can quickly and accurately tune your guitar with very little effort.

If you are not one for the visual tuning you can switch to audio tuning and hear the note played for each string. This is more of a traditional method of tuning a guitar, long before there were digital tuners and such.

I like the simplicity of this app. It has no fancy options, it's just straight to the point and dead-on accurate as well. They even go so far as to define the calibration based on the ISO standards for A440 concert pitch.
