Urgent Care by GreatCall, Inc. connects you to a nurse that is able to quickly triage your medical questions so you know what sort of steps you should be taking.

Sometimes you've got a medical question or issue that leaves you wondering what your best course of action is. Before rushing to the doctor's office this app can help you out by offering triage from an actual nurse. There is even the option of having a doctor call you back within 30 minutes to answer your questions.

When speaking to the doctor she/he will be able to give you a medical assessment of the situation, a diagnosis, and advice right over the phone. While not everything can be addressed over the phone, there are is large list of conditions that can be. It's also possible for the doctor to prescribe common medications.

On top of all those features the app also includes a medical dictionary and encyclopedia. There is even an interactive symptom checker you can use.

Other features include Spanish translators when needed and a simple user-interface that allows you to navigate through the app easily.

When you launch the app you'll be able to call urgent care, look up your symptoms, and even give feedback and share.

Urgent Care was updated on Jan. 21, 2013 and currently has 14 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.

This is a great way to possibly save yourself a visit to the doctor’s and instead get quick, reliable, and accurate medical advice and information. I really liked the interactive symptom checker as quick reference tool.
