Color Splash by Pocket Pixels Inc. let’s you create images with dramatic color contrasts.

Take any image from your camera roll and convert it to black and white except for one item or area of the image: this is what Color Splash does. This type of effect creates an image with an eye-grabbing center of focus that draws the viewers in.

To get started you can grab any image from your device's Camera Roll, Twitter, or Facebook. Using one of the four different brushes (hard, soft edged, opaque, and transparent) begin selecting the area you are going to keep in full color. Use the adjusting sliders to create the most contrast you can for an even sharper look.

Multiple sessions can be saved, allowing you to stop working on an incomplete image and return to it later. You can also undo any mistakes you make along the way with no limit on how far back you can go. Once your image is finished to your satisfaction you can then save it and share it over Facebook or Twitter.

Color Splash was last updated to Version 2.0.1 on September 25, 2012 and included a completely redesigned interface and improvements to the integration of social networking. There have been 715 ratings for this app with an average score of five out of five stars.

I had a lot of fun working with this app. The effect of having only one area in color while the rest is in black and white is super cool. This app comes with a nice video tutorial which I thought was a great way to teach the functions of the app.
