Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour by Gameloft is a fantastic action thriller FPS game for your iPad.

The game is back, with another chapter for you to play. This time, you’ll be trying to avoid global devastation in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster. You’ll be in charge of elite soldiers who have to find and rescue the world’s leaders from a terrorist group run by Edward Page.

For a twist, you can also play the bad guy.

The game offers a new tactical movement system, console-like graphics, and a realistic feel as you drive the vehicles. You’ll get to fight all over the world, from Barcelona to Antarctica. You’ll enjoy lifelike animations, dynamic objects, and the Havok Engine for crazy effects.

The app features improved sound and voice acting, a new specialization system, and more than 20,000 weapon arrangements.

Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour was updated to Version 1.0.1 on February 27, 2013. The update added new weapons (the Tygr XE Automatic SMG and the Compakt-65 Automatic Assault Rifle) and made multiple fixes and improvements. A weekly leaderboard is now available, and the wait time between multi-player games is reduced. The current version of the app has 1054 customer ratings with an average of four out of five stars.

This is a fantastic first-person shooter game. The only drawback is that it’s not optimized for the iPad.
