Price: Free

The New Yorker Magazine by Condé Nast Digital delivers the iconic publication to your mobile device.

Right now new subscribers can take advantage of 30 days for free when they sign up for a one-year subscription. This offer is only available for a limited time. If you happen to subscribe to the print edition follow the prompts in order to activate the digital version.

The New Yorker is known for its design and content. It truly stands out from all the rest and has become a part of New York City.

You'll have a number of exclusive features with the digital edition including a video introduction to the magazine from Jon Hamm and Lena Dunham (on the iPhone). For a quick week at a glance there is a weekly slide show of cartoons and you can enter in the Cartoon Caption Contest from the app. Share stories on Facebook, Twitter, and by email. There are also links to web content.

Some of the interactive features you'll find within the pages include audio, videos, slide shows, infographics, and archival articles.

To make reading the publication a positive experience there are a number of navigation tools and you can use the place-holding feature within the articles.

The New Yorker Magazine was updated on Feb. 11, 2013 and currently has 66 customer ratings with an average rating of two and a half out of five stars.

While the content is great there still seems to be some snags and issues to work on within the app to make it a smoother experience.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later
