Yahoo! Messenger by Yahoo! helps you stay connected on your iPad with all those you want to chat with friends using SMS, voice, and video calls.

With this app you'll be able to conveniently have video and voice chats with your Yahoo Messenger contacts for free. The video calls are available on the iPhone 3GS/4, iPad 2, and iPod touch 4. The app remains on at all times so you can stay signed in to chats on Messenger 11 for Windows. This means you can receive messages when you're active. You'll receive a notification alert if you receive an IM while the app is on in the background.

The app works with Windows Live all you need to do is add your MSN Messenger contacts to your Messenger list so you can manage all the information in one convenient location.

Use the app to share video in real-time and to share photos.

In this latest version you can now copy and paste text from Yahoo! Messenger to some of your other apps. As well a number of improvements were made to enhance the performance.

Go ahead and send free international SMS messages and text friends located around the world. It should be noted that the recipients can be charged by their individual carrier.

Yahoo! Messenger was updated on Sept. 20, 2012 and currently has 1,406 customer ratings with an average rating of two and a half out of five stars.

There seems to be some issues with users gaining access to the list of features in this app, which can hopefully be worked out in the next version/update.
