Toon Shooters by Mooff Games will have you battling enemies as you try to save Earth.

This game takes place a long time ago, and far, far away. Earth is being threatened by the Galactic Fleet and the only thing that can stop them is the Toon Shooters. These are a group of freelancers and rebel cartoon characters who all possess crazy stories and super powers. It's up to them to prevent the Galactic Fleet from taking over Earth.

Features of the game include 14 maps, each featuring its own game play. There are 57 enemies (who all have a wife and kids to feed on the side), eight characters you can customize, and the ability to play in two player co-op mode. For a real thrill try the Survival Arena where you'll try to outlast as many aliens as possible.

There are leaderboards you can follow to see where you rank, and the app supports Retina display. What's especially handy is that because this app is under 50MB you can actually download it without a WiFi connection.

As a special game play tip you'll want to hold the A button in order to lock your firing position of 360 characters.

Toon Shooters was updated on Jan. 9, 2013 and currently has 657 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.

I really enjoyed the animations, graphics, background music, and the gameplay itself in this app. I found the concept easy to grasp so then it was just about mastering the game, which wasn’t so easy.
