Introduction

iMaps+ for Google Maps : Directions, Street View and Places Search by Toni Peggs gives you an easy and convenient way to get directions to any location.

Use this map app to search by address or by category such as Restaurants in Boston or Paris, France. If you're trying to find directions to a friend’s house you can access your addresses from your contacts. While you're typing in your search suggestions will type up as well as directions.

Once you finish searching you can view the step-by-step directions for walking, driving, cycling, or public transportation. You can switch among satellite, hybrid, terrain, and road maps for iPad depending on your preference. Use the yellow peg-man from the top left corner of the screen to enjoy Street View mapping.

You will often be given alternate route information and you can use the overlays for public transportation and live traffic. The app is capable of tracking your current location.

Drop a pin anywhere on your map by pressing and holding. If you want to remember a location for future use, you can bookmark it.

It should be noted that only select geographical regions will have access to live traffic, street view, and directions.

iMaps+ for Google Maps : Directions, Street View and Places Search was updated on Feb. 19, 2013 and currently has 162 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.

As long as you’re in a region that supports the information this app can provide you with all the directional information you need. I really like the overlays for public transportation and traffic and found them to be very helpful.
