Golf Channel Academy by Golf Channel gives you a great way to enjoy the game and learn from it.

This app is all about helping you to improve your game by giving you customized lessons from actual LPGA/PGA certified professionals right on your iPad. Even if you're already a strong golfer there is still plenty you can learn with a customized lesson.

The app is filled with videos that you can watch from anyplace. One way to take advantage of the lessons in this app is to watch the videos while on the practice range so you can give the techniques a try. You can download the videos so that you don’t need an Internet connection to watch them later. If there are videos that you'd like to refer back to, just bookmark them and start a custom playlist.

Other features include being able to capture your own swing then make use of the markup tools provided to help you find where you could make adjustments in your swing. You can even upload your swing to SwingFix.com for more help.

Downloading the app is free but you will have to pay for lesson plans. There are over 50 lessons available to purchase.

What was great about this app was the ability to view videos of lessons while at the practice range. This gives you a chance to really make the most of the information in the videos and learn through actions rather than just reading or watching it.
