Poems By Heart from Penguin Classics

Price: Free

Poems By Heart from Penguin Classics by Penguin Group USA is an education-based game for your iPad that will challenge your knowledge of poetry.

If you're a fan of poetry why not put your passion to the test with this fun challenge. This is a memorization style game using classic poems from all the professional wordsmiths such as Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, and Emily Dickinson.

The goal is to recite 24 poems from memorization and each time you do you'll earn points and achievements. Record the poems you recite so you can share them by email and online with all your friends and family.

In order to help you remember the poem each one will be read to you in two ways. You'll hear an all-new original art reading and a dramatic reading. This game is fast-paced, fun, and challenging. You'll get two poems for free to begin with. In total there are seven packs of poems available and there are five stages and 20 different ranks of success to work through. Additional poem packs are $0.99 each.

The app will keep track of completed, in progress, and new poems you're working on memorizing to recite.

Poems By Heart from Penguin Classics was released on Apr. 4, 2013 and currently has 38 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.

This is a wonderfully inventive way of helping you learn and memorize a variety of classic poetry pieces. You’ll forget that you’re actually busy learning cause you’ll just be busy having fun and getting into the challenge of the game.
