FaceFilm app review
FaceFilm
Price: $0.99
FaceFilm by Jiangguo Yan is a photo and video app that lets you change photos of people’s faces into a film.
You can have a theme in your film, like how a little girl grows into a woman, how a regular girl becomes a famous, world-renowned movie star or pop singer, or anything that shows a progression of photos.
This is a powerful but easy-to-use app that uses a sophisticated algorithm to help you create amazing morphing photos.
When you launch the app, you can choose up to two photos to insert into each of the end photos. You can use photos from your Camera Roll or take the photos from within the app itself. Once you’ve chosen the image, you can rotate and change the size of the face to match the crossed red lines on the eyes of the photo. After that, you can adjust the image further to match it up with certain facial points to help the morphing system work the best.
When you’ve perfected your film, you can export and share as a video or gif.
FaceFilm was updated to Version 1.3 on April 7, 2013. The update fixed a bug, made numerous changes, and added the ability to export by video or gif. The app also now supports iPhone 5. It does not have enough ratings for iTunes to display an average.
I tried out this app and morphed my face into my daughter’s. It was funny to see how we are both similar and different.
For: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad wiht iOS 4.3 or later. FaceFilm is optimized for iPhone 5.
