Garmin Pilot by Garmin DCI is an app that is designed for pilots of all kinds, with a wealth of instruments and charts.

With this app, you will have many aspects of aviation covered, including maps, charts, and all the tools you need for navigation.

Garmin Pilot can access information from NEXRAD radar and you will be equipped with detailed weather forecasting from National Weather Service, ensuring a successful flight preparation.

This app boasts a comprehensive array of tools such as an airport directory and diagrams, weather maps, flight plan filing, approach procedures, and much more.

Garmin Pilot is currently available on a 30-day free trial but a paid subscription is required beyond that.

Garmin Pilot was updated to version 5.0 in early-April of 2013. The current version has a total of 14 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.

This app is far from perfect but the sheer amount of functionality it offers is really quite impressive. I don’t aspire to be a pilot but I can easily appreciate the value of Garmin Pilot and would definitely recommend it.
