Jesus Calling Devotional by Sarah Young Lite

Price: Free

Jesus Calling Devotional by Sarah Young Lite is an app that gives you a taste of the full-sized version, based on the book by Sarah Young. This app gives one week’s worth of devotionals.

The 365-day devotional, “Jesus Calling,” by Sarah Young, has inspired many people. It’s a best-seller, in fact, and has now been turned into an app you can use on your iOS device for daily inspiration.

The app has digital features that make it even more accessible than the book.

Features of the app include the ability to search by verse, date, keyword, or topic; the ability to view media; the ability to share excerpts of your favorites on social media sites; the ability to jot down notes for each devotional; and access to fully-written out Scriptures and full devotional text. If you know someone who would enjoy or benefit from this app, you can gift it to a friend from the app itself.

You can also shop for other Sarah Young products from within the app.

The book was written by Sarah Young as she wrote down whatever she believed God was saying to her. She kept her writings and began to share them. Soon people all over the world were using her writings as inspiration; everything she has written is from Jesus’ perspective, hence the name.

The developers have turned her amazing book into an app. You can try it out for free; if you love it, download the paid version for $9.99.

Jesus Calling Devotional by Sarah Young Lite was updated to Version 1.4 on August 7, 2012. The update added registration for Thomas Nelson Rewards. The current version of the app has 92 customer ratings with an average of 2.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments seem mostly positive, with some complaints about the full-sized app not being supported and people feel there money has been wasted.

I didn’t download the full version so I can’t comment on that; however, the free version seems to run fine and has some great content.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 4.0 or later
