tweetary by tappnology is a universal app that gives you a diary function combined with Twitter.

If you love Twitter and want to keep tweets that you care about, this is the app for you. You can archive your own tweets and those on your timeline. You can also annotate them privately with more images and text, kept private in your offline Twitter diary.

In case you haven’t figured it out, Twitter plus Diary is “tweetary.”

The app automatically archives all the tweets you post. You can then search them offline, add whatever notes you want, insert images, add comments, and more. If you need added security, you can even password lock the app so no one can read it.

If you want, you can share your private tweetaries using email.

Of course, not just the tweets you post are archived; if there are any posts on your timeline you’d like to keep, just press the button. This can be a story, a funny tweet, or a photo. Add extra private comments to these, as well: it’s your tweetary!

If there are certain topics or hashtags that interest you, you can set up watchlists. Any tweets that contain these words or hashtags are automatically archived for you so you don’t miss out!

As if that wasn’t enough, this app also offers complex algorithms that create infographics to tell you about when you’re online, how and when you use Twitter, and more.

tweetary was updated to Version 1.30 on March 21, 2013. The update added a huge number of features, including the ability to import up to 3000 past tweets. There were many changes to the UI, crash fixes were made, and more. The current version has 10 customer ratings with an average of five out of five stars.

I’m not much of a Twitter user but I really like how this app is set up. I especially like how it’s iCloud enabled and that you can search and tweet, retweet, and more from within the app itself.
