DailyCost app review

DailyCost

Price: $1.99

DailyCost by Guopeng is a tracking app that you can use every day on your iOS device.

This app was developed by a designer who was tired of using complicated tracking apps. He designed this one to offer well-designed statistics and an incredibly intuitive user interface.

Features of the app include smart categories, backup to iCloud, the ability to export data via CSV format, an easy-to-use UI, and elegant reports and stats.

When using the app, hold your iPhone sideways (horizontally) to see your stats. Use negative numbers to record incomes. Also, tap and hold to delete an item. When you create a new cost you can see and access comments on the left side of the page.

You can also customize the appearance of the app to suit your tastes.

DailyCost was updated to Version 1.5.5 on March 22, 2013. The update fixed a bug in the German translation. The app is available in English, Chinese, German, Greek, Japanese, and Russian. The current version has 23 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments are mostly positive, with most negative comments centering around confusion regarding how the app works.

I really like this expense app, even more than I thought I would. It’s a bit tricky to get used to entering a negative value when entering income, but I got used to it fairly quickly.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 5.0 or later. DailyCost is optimized for iPhone 5.
