Pirrrates! HD by Alawar Entertainment, Inc is a game that will test your wits as you plan and strategize to do battle and conquer the seven seas.
In this game, you will have to choose between two sides: either the fearsome pirates or the prestigious Royal Navy of the confederacy. Once you have chosen your side you will be tasked with controlling your fleet and ordering them into battle.
Pirrrates! HD features 19 different levels presented to you in fun cartoon style graphics with lush backdrops and animation. You will have at your disposal various skills and spells that can be upgraded as you progress through the game and these will separate you from your adversaries as you send their ships to the bottom of the briny deep, or lay siege to naval ports and bases.
Pirrrates! HD was released in late-March of 2013 and has so far received a total of 24 customer ratings with an average score of three out of five stars.
While I think this is a nice idea for a game, the idea itself isn’t particularly original. Having said that, if you like the style of strategy game involving dragging troop units into position, Pirrrates! HD should provide you with a nice change of pace.
