Cut the Rope: Time Travel by ZeptoLab UK Limited is a fantastic physics-based puzzle game for your iOS device.

If you’re a fan of the Cut the Rope games, you’ll be thrilled with this new addition to the franchise. Om Nom has traveled back in time in order to feed his ancestors candy.

You’ll have two monsters you’ll have to feed in each level. So get started! You’ll visit the Renaissance, Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, the Stone Age, a pirate ship, and Ancient Greece.

The first location, the Middle Ages, has 15 levels, during which time you’ll have to do your best to collect all of the stars in order to earn all three stars. Make sure you feed both Om Nom and his hungry relative, or else you will fail. You’ll know which one is the ancestor, as it will be dressed in period garb.

Each of the ancestors have a different “voice.” You’ll also notice that each level features different mechanics. For example, you have to start and stop time in the Renaissance level. Watch out in the Pirate level, because bombs will randomly go off and explode your candy when you least expect it.

Cut the Rope: Time Travel was released mid-April, 2013. The app is available in 11 languages so far. It’s rated for kids four and up. The app has 696 customer ratings with an average of five out of five stars. Feedback comments are positive.

I absolutely adore the Cut the Rope games and this one is no exception. The levels start off easy so you can get a feel for the mechanics required, but get progressively more difficult. My daughter, who is four, enjoys the game too (and usually does better than me, I’m sad to say). This is a great game and one I’d recommend to anyone.
