TeachMe: Kindergarten by 24x7digital LLC is a must-have education app for your iOS device if you have Kindergarten-aged kids.
This app teaches your child four different subjects, suitable for his or her age: subtraction, addition, sight words, and spelling. You can choose which of these subjects you want your child to learn. You can also set the difficulty and even pick certain questions your child must answer.
You can keep track of his or her progress and performance history in each subject so you will know which areas need more work.
This app offers a really cool reward system where your kid will earn one coin for every three answers he or she gets right. Your child can then buy stickers to use in fun sticker scenes or to buy things for the virtual aquarium. Sticker scenes can be shared via email or exported as wallpaper.
The whole system is meant to be kid-friendly, and allows your child to play without your help.
Features of the app include four fish and more than 40 items for the virtual aquarium, more than 100 different stickers, five different sticker scenes, learning info for up to four kids, and up to 40 users without an in-app purchase.
TeachMe: Kindergarten was updated to Version 3.4 on July 30, 2012. The update made some bug fixes, added more parental controls, and added a bunch of other features. The current version has 15 customer ratings with an average of five out of five stars. Feedback comments are all really positive.
I’ve got both TeachMe: Toddler and now TeachMe: Kindergarten. My four year old has used both and her knowledge of sight words and math has greatly improved in just a couple of weeks. I plan to keep using these apps! She especially loves Mimi Mouse.
