Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run app review

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run

Price: $1.99

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run by Nickelodeon is a fun game app for your iOS device.

If you’ve grown up loving the TMNT, then now’s your chance to play as Donnie, Mikey, Leo, or Raph in this combat runner. You’ll have to jump, run, and fight your way across all the rooftops in New York City.

You’ll fight against evil and try to clean up New York. Collect energy orbs as you run to collect gear, weapons, and boosts. The one-touch controls allow you to focus on your ninja moves for the best possible gaming experience.

The app has some in-app purchases you can make but you don’t have to buy to enjoy the game.

Features of the app include exclusive Stealth and Cyber gear, tons of enemies to fight, the ability to play as Dogpound, and earnable rewards from the pizza time mini-game. You can upgrade with the energy orbs you collect, and activate Turtle Time to fight up close and personal in a slow-motion combat sequence.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run was released in mid-April, 2013. The app is available in seven different languages. The app is rated for kids nine and up but use parental discretion. The app has 1650 customer ratings with an average of three out of five stars. Feedback comments are negative.

I think a lot of the negative feedback comes from people who failed to read the requirements. This app does not work for iPad 1, on iPhone 3 or 3S, nor on iPod touch below 5th gen. If you have a device that meets the minimum requirements, you should have a fine time with this app.
For: iPhone 4 and above, iPod touch 5th generation and above, and iPad 2 and above with iOS 4.3 or later. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run is optimized for iPhone 5.
