Mobile Locate by AT&T Services, Inc. takes the stress and worry out of losing your mobile device.

If you've ever misplaced or lost your mobile device then you're very familiar with that panic and the feeling of dread in your stomach. With this app you don't have to go through those feelings as it will easily and quickly locate your device.

It should be noted that this service is only available to iPhone customers of AT&T.

This app gives you a visual history of just where your device has been recently and then you'll be given directions to its last known location. The app uses the device's GPS in order to gather information. Of course you won't be able to conduct the search by using your lost device so you'll need to log onto mymobilelocate.com to start the process.

The latest version of the app has made improvements to how much of the battery it uses by making better use of the network.

This app will work on a device that is turned on, is within the coverage area, and allows for text messaging. It should also be noted that data usage charges will be incurred.

Mobile Locate was updated on Feb. 14, 2012 and currently has 43 customer ratings with an average rating of two and a half out of five stars.

This can definitely take the worry out of losing your device; however, if the phone is not powered on it isn’t going to help locate it. The visual history and the last-known history are great features to have in the app.
