Teacher’s Handbook

Price: Free

Teacher’s Handbook by VirtualMaze is a handy app that will help teachers and other educators up to date on their schedules and classes, exam reports, class notes, syllabus, attendance, and more.

The app is suitable for teachers of young children, middle school, college – anywhere.

Teachers have a lot of tasks and to stay on top of all of those duties can sometimes get confusing. Just some of the duties include yard duty, conducting exams, correcting test papers, correcting reports, filing attendance reports, teaching classes, taking classes, following students’ performance, and extracurricular activities. The app helps you keep track of all of these different activities so you don’t forget something or double-book yourself.

Features of the app include freehand or keyboard notes options, notification options for scheduled milestones and classes, and more. You can store students’ exam reports and your leave details as needed.

When you first launch the app, you’ll see a screen with nine notepad covers in different colors. Options here are Subjects, Class Schedules, References, Milestones, Students Results, My Leaves, Settings, Upgrades, and About Us. The Settings page lets you set notifications for schedules and milestones.

The app is easy to use and is laid out in a simple manner. There are in-app purchases: $1.99 for the Full Version and $2.00 for the Ad Removal Pack. The free version has ads.

Teacher’s Handbook was updated to Version 1.1 on February 21, 2013. The update fixed a bug and made an update to the My Leaves page for iPhone users. The app doesn’t have enough ratings for iTunes to display an average.

I thought the app was laid out very well and seems like a good option for teachers to keep track of their duties and activities.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 4.0 or later
