Maui Road To Hana GPS Guide by Annette Smith is a travel app for Maui.
If you plan on visiting or moving to Maui, or if you actually live there, you need this app. It offers photos, a description, and a map for every attraction in Maui on the Road to Hana. You’ll get also get a GPS commentary for you as you drive to different attractions.
You can plan your tour, find out about Maui facts and history, and receive notifications for when you’re near an attraction that offers the interests you’ve previously indicated.
For each attraction within the app, you’ll get a rating for each of the attractions, multiple images, a description of the stop, and a mile marker for each attraction.
When you have this app, you can set it to play audio to tell you all about the attractions. Don’t risk getting carsick; you can sit and enjoy the journey as you listen. As you start the tour, you can skip ahead and see which attractions will appeal to you the most. The app will also tell you when you reach an attraction that matches your interests.
The app will still work even if you don’t have GPS. If you do have GPS, be aware that the app will require the GPS to run constantly and will drain your battery, so take your charger.
To see all the sights and avoid the worst of the crowds, start as early as possible: 7:00 AM is probably best.
Maui Road To Hana GPS Guide was updated to Version 1.1.0 on April 22, 2013. The update improved speed of the UI, updated the user interface, updated the audio and improved integration with the site information and map. The app is available in English only. It doesn’t have enough customer ratings for iTunes to display an average.
The app doesn’t really hold much use for me since I’m not planning on going to Maui anytime soon, but the features of this app look pretty solid. If you’re traveling in Hawaii in the near future, youshould check out this app.
For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 5.0 or later. Maui Road to Hana GPS Guide is optimized for iPhone 5.
