Worms 2: Armageddon by Team17 Software Ltd is a fantastic port of the classic turn-based strategy game to iOS devices, revamped with a whole host of quirky new features.
If you love the Worms series then this is an absolute must-have game.
You will enjoy a variety of game modes, such as single-player Campaign Mode, which will see you blasting your way through 30 different missions, and Body Count Mode which will truly put your skills to the test as you take on wave after wave of increasingly challenging enemies.
Where Worms 2: Armageddon really comes into a league of its own is with the Multi-Player Mode. You can battle up to four friends at a time over a Bluetooth connection or take on an opponent anywhere in the world via Wi-Fi. Within Multi-Player Mode there is also a selection of game modes to keep things interesting.
Worms 2: Armageddon was updated to version 1.13 in mid-March of 2013. The current version has a total of 515 customer ratings with an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars. Customer reviews have generally been very positive.
I remember playing this game on PC when it was first released. I loved it then and I still love it now, and while playing it on my iPad, I can’t help but feel that this game was destined to end up on a handheld format. The graphics have been given an overhaul and all of the usual zany voices are still there, so check it out before I unleash my Super Sheep on you!
