iDaft 2

Price: Free

Daft Punk fans unite! iDaft 2 by Samuel Vermette is a soundboard app that lets you become a member of the legendary electronic music band.

You’ll get samples of the songs “Technologic” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and you get to use gestures to make your own remixes. Of course, you don’t have to be a Daft Punk fan to enjoy the app, but if you are, you’ll really enjoy it.

Features of the app include 65 samples from “Technologic” and 40 sound samples from “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” You get background beats, the vocals are all broken down into small samples, and you can mix it all up as you like. Lay the vocals over the top of the single by tapping.

This game is a lot like Guitar Hero but you don’t lose or gain points according to accuracy. There’s no challenge; this isn’t a game. It’s just pure music fun.

Of course, this is a free app so it’s ad-supported.

Daft Punk started in the early 1990's and really became popular in the late 90's. They were instrumental in the French house music scene and are popular to this day. If you’re a fan, you totally need to check out this app. What are you waiting for? It’s free!

iDaft 2 was updated to Version 2.3.2 on January 5, 2011. The update fixed a buttons bug. The current version has 378 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments are all positive.

The only thing I can say about this app is that the only people who won’t like it are those who don’t like Daft Punk or who hate music in general.
